I’m very sorry to bother you in your busy time…” かといって “Send me the file.”
Just following up” “gently check in” “flag” を使う
Unfortunately” “That said” “I see your point, but” がクッション
基本形:Could you + 動詞 / Would you be able to + 動詞
- “Could you send me the latest version by Wednesday?”
- “Would you be able to review the draft before Friday?”
- “When you get a chance, could you…”
- “It would be great if you could…”
- “I’d appreciate it if you could…”
やってはいけない: “Please send me the file.”
- “Just following up on my previous email — any update on this?”
- “I wanted to gently check in on the status of X.”
- “No rush, but I’d like to make sure this doesn’t fall through the cracks.”
- “As the deadline is approaching on Thursday, could you let me know where we stand?”
- “I want to flag that we’ll need this by EOD tomorrow to stay on track.”
- “Thanks for thinking of me for this. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to take it on this quarter due to bandwidth.”
- “I see why this is important. That said, I don’t think I’m the right person for it — [名前] would be a better fit.”
- “That time doesn’t quite work for me. Would [別の候補] be possible instead?”
- “I think there might be a small discrepancy in the numbers on page 3 — could you double-check?”
- “Correct me if I’m wrong, but the date in section 2 looks off.”
- “It seems like the latest changes didn’t make it into this version.”
“there might be” “it seems like” “correct me if I’m wrong” で、断定を避けて相手に確認を促す形にすると、角が立ちません。
- “I see your point, but I’d push back a little here.”
- “I’m not sure I fully agree — my concern is that…”
- “Playing devil’s advocate for a second: what happens if…?”
- “Could we consider an alternative approach? For example…”
I see your point, but…”
- “I know this is short notice, but would it be possible to…?”
- “I realize I’m asking a lot here, but…”
- “This is a bit of an ask, but…”
- “Thanks in advance for your help.”
- “Let me know if anything is unclear.”
- “Happy to jump on a quick call if that’s easier.”
- “Appreciate your patience on this.”

日本語の感覚で “I’m terribly sorry to bother you, and I completely understand if you’re too busy, but if it’s not too much trouble…”
I’d appreciate it if you could…”

Q. “Please”
“Just following up on my previous email — any update on this?”
